Submission day today. It was bad. Nothing went well for us. 

We came in the morning to get the last bit of the work done. Animatic was done and we need to reassure everything is in place in after effects. Jem continued on the packaging and we did our mood boards too. 

Everything was done but we had no enough time for audio. And we made a huge decision. No audio will be included in the animatic. Why? First, we got no time. Second, we don't want unfinished work. If we were to rush the audio in, we strongly believe it will only be done halfway. So instead of this, we decided to just let everything be in silence. Well, it might bring another kind of mood perhaps? But, no. It didn't turn out well. Audio is VERY important. Without audio, the animatic doesn't seem to come alive. We regretted for not being about to include the audio in. Cause frankly speaking, we found quite a lot of interesting and suitable sound effects.

During presentation, we were so nervous, everything is screwed up. We didn't present our colleterals and storyboard. Even the cd which was in my hand, was held through the presentation. Yes, Mr Ronald failed us. I admit, we're not fully prepared for it. 

We were all very very disappointed. We really looked forward to get the pitching and getting the A++. We really did a lot. Maybe, too much.

We set a very high expectation for ourselves. We see the animatic as the most important, the one that will impress. We didn't realised that we neglected the rest, which is equally important. Everything was too late then. We already got a F grade.

However, to our surprises, Mr Ronald gave us a second chance. A chance to prove ourselves again. We were so glad and grateful. Because we know our work has not gone to a waste. We can show what we can do and what we have done. We were really very happy.

From here, we sat down once again, talked about where we went wrong and came out with a new plan. We decided that we shouldn't put all of our focus on animatic. Since we have got our work 95% done, we decided to spilt work. Jake, animatic. Jem, storyboard. Mallory, audio and ppt. Yuanming and i, collaterals. 

I strongly believe that we can do way better this time and we'll be 101% prepared. We really put in our all and did our best. No regrets and all the best!!

Today is going to be our last day to get everything unfinished, finished. Headed to Jake's place and he is still drawing and improving on the animatic. The shading is really tedious. I wished i could help. However, Jake's the only one who learnt face study. Well, it somehow motivated me to learn too :D

As Jake continues, Mal got the sound effects ready. I kind of helped her in searching for the sound effects. We end up laughing at it cause it's too hilarious. But work's still done in the mood of playing :) 

Yuanming and i continue doing on the background. There's still quite a few to do. And we need to finished up in order for Jake to add in his drawings. Jem on the other hand, handle the packaging. 

Rush rush rush all the way till midnight and headed home to continue. All of us were tire but we got no time to waste. 

For the first time, we really felt that we couldn't finish..

Today, we're suppose to report for class as Mr Ronald said that there's someone coming over to give a talk. However, the person didn't appear during the lesson time so we were left to do our own work. Jake continued to improve his drawing while yuanming and jem did the backgrounds and mallory and i search for sound effects for the animatic. Mallory and i were laughing our heads off at those hilarious sound effects. We really wonder why is there such sound effect. Why would anyone want to make those kind of noise/sound? 

Well, planned our stuff again and each of us headed back to continue with the work. We are worrying that we are running out of time. But we have sense of emergency so we're still managing and we have confident that our animatic will turn out well.

Today is Sunday. A day where everyone deserve a rest from work and school. However, the hardworking us didn't. We met up at Jake's place and started on composing the story board in photoshop. We had our story board drawn on papers and we used photoshop to further enhance the quality of the drawing. Jake was selected to be the main drawer for the story board. Everyone of us agrees that it's better to let one person draw and Jake's the best candidate. And of course, none of disappointment, Jake did a good job. The drawings are in perspective and the figures are in proportion. Did story boarding and more of story boarding at his place. Left around late night and headed home to do more editing.

Today, came back in the morning for apel2. After the lesson end, we met up to get the remaining shooting done. Yuanming, Jake and Jem started the shoot before i came as my lesson ended late. By then i reached, they already got the majority shots taken. The only scene left which i have to be in the pictures are done when i'm there. 

After the shooting, we plan on how we are going to start drawing the story board. Everything is well organized and we headed home to get the photo uploaded and start on the story boarding.

Yesterday, after we got our pitching, we somehow come out with a plan on how we are going to work out this final assignment together. My group include, Jake,Yuanming, Mallory and Jem :)

So today, we met up and decided on the different frames from each of our story board. We thought of camera angles and story lines at the end of the discussion, we have finalized each frames. After which, we headed to shoot. We need photos to do some references. It took us a few hours to do it causes we were trying out different camera angle. I even climbed up the bin for bird eye view. After that long hour of shooting, my camera died on me. Therefore, our other alternative was Jake's cybershot phone. Well, it's 5 megapixel ;)

We did our shooting all the way till evening and ended the day. Though there are still some shots we need for references, we decided to come back tomorrow since there's apel2.
